EMTs who wish to advance to the paramedic level may enroll in the SUNY-Cobleskill program providing that the following pre-requisites are met :

• Current EMT certification in NYS
• Current CPR
• Achieve a passing grade in a college credit bearing Anatomy class. (Many times this class is offered in the summer prior to the start of the paramedic class affording students the opportunity to meet this requirement.)

EMT student seeking certification only are full time students of SUNY-Cobleskill and complete the regular college admissions process. These students earn college credit for the EMS courses which can be used toward earning a college degree at a later date here at SUNY Cobleskill or transfer to another college.
